Partners involved Governments: Japan, UK Note: The following is a summary of feedback to this Work Plan from participants to the AFP 3 meeting held November 21, 2003 in Japan. 1. UK government representative expressed that UK strongly supports this work plan. *At the meeting held among officials from the governments of Japan and the UK in Tokyo on 3rd and 5th December 2003 to discuss collaborative work on illegal logging, the representative of the government of the UK expressed that the UK will offer to lead and provide financial support for AFP work plan “Reviewing the existing bilateral agreements/announcements on illegal logging”. The terms of reference of this work have not yet been finalized and the UK may confer with CIFOR to complete the terms of reference, identify a contractor and undertake this work. |
