Dear AFP partners, 

The Asia Forest Partnership secretariat will organize the Ninth Meeting of the Asia Forest Partnership & Asia Forest Partnership Dialogue 2010, to be held in collaboration with the Governments of Japan, Indonesia, and CIFOR, supported by the EU’s European Forest Institute Forest Law Enforcement, Governance & Trade (FLEGT) Asia Regional Support Programme (FLEGT Asia), Government of the United States of America, and The Nature Conservancy.

 The 2010 AFP Dialogue builds on the 2009 AFP Dialogue “REDD and Illegal Logging” by exploring the links between REDD+ and governance issues through a regional dialogue on ‘Forest governance challenges beyond Copenhagen: An Asia-Pacific perspective’.

The meeting will take place, as follows: 

Date    :                 4 - 6 August 2010 (including the 9^th AFP Partner Forum/SC meeting) to be scheduled in the afternoon of
                             4 August 2010.
